    Privacy Policy

    Effective June 8, 2026


    Sleep Worlds is the most beautiful way to fall asleep, not a data mining operation. We collect only the data we need to deliver a delightful experience. We do not:

    • Sell your personal information for money
    • Show you ads in the app
    • Build advertising profiles to follow you around other companies’ apps and websites

    To measure how well our own marketing works, we share limited event data (such as installs, sign-ups, and subscriptions) with advertising-measurement providers. You can opt out of this at any time — see Your privacy choices below.

    Every user gets the same privacy rights, no matter where you live. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.


    1. Who we are

    We are Sleep Worlds, Inc. (“Sleep Worlds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware corporation based at PO Box 1633, Topanga, California 90290.

    We operate the Sleep Worlds mobile app for iOS and Android, the account portal at account.sleepworlds.app, and the website at sleepworlds.com (together, the “Services”).

    2. What we collect and why

    Information you provide

    When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication method (Apple, Google, or email sign-in). If you purchase a subscription through our website, our payment processor collects your billing name and address — we never see or store your card number.

    When you contact support, we receive whatever information you include in your message.

    Information collected automatically

    When you use the App, we collect device information (model, OS, app version), usage data (which stories you listen to, session duration), subscription status, and diagnostic logs (error reports and crash data). Diagnostic logs are retained for 30 days.

    We use a pseudonymous identifier (your account ID) to associate usage data with your account. To measure how well our own marketing performs, our apps share limited event data — such as installs, sign-ups, and subscriptions — with advertising-measurement providers. We do not show you ads, and we do not use this data to target ads at you based on what you do in other companies’ apps or websites. You can opt out at any time — see Your privacy choices below.

    Account portal and website

    When you sign in to the account portal at account.sleepworlds.app, we use a session cookie to keep you signed in.

    Our marketing website (sleepworlds.com) does not use analytics or advertising trackers. The only third-party technology is Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our contact forms from spam.


    3. How we use your information

    We use your information to operate the Services (deliver content, manage subscriptions, authenticate you), process payments, respond to support requests, improve the app (fix bugs, understand usage patterns), and comply with legal obligations.

    We do not show you ads and we do not sell your personal information for money. To measure the effectiveness of our own marketing, we share limited event data with advertising-measurement providers — California law may treat this as “sharing,” and you can opt out at any time (see Your privacy choices). We do not give your information to third parties for their own independent marketing.


    4. Who we share with

    We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Services. Each provider is contractually required to use your data only for the purpose we specify.

    Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are processed by Apple and Google respectively under their own privacy policies. We do not control their data practices.

    We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

    We can provide more detail about the categories of service providers we use and the data each processes in response to a verified request.


    5. Cookies and tracking

    Our mobile apps do not use cookies or tracking pixels.

    Our account portal uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. It does not set advertising or analytics cookies.

    Our marketing website sets no first-party cookies. Google reCAPTCHA (anti-spam) is the only third-party technology loaded.


    6. How long we keep your data

    We keep your account data until you request deletion. Diagnostic and server logs are automatically deleted after 30 days. Support communications (your messages to us and the contact details needed to respond) are retained for up to 3 years so we can handle follow-up requests, then deleted or anonymized. We retain billing and tax records for 7 years as required by law. Security audit logs are retained for up to 12 months.

    When you request account deletion, we delete or anonymize your data across all systems except information we are legally required to retain.


    7. Your rights

    No matter where you live, you have the right to:

    • Access your personal data
    • Delete your account and data
    • Correct inaccurate information
    • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
    • Object to or restrict certain processing
    • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

    To exercise any right, email support@sleepworlds.app or visit sleepworlds.com/account-deletion. We respond within 30 days.

    We do not charge a fee for exercising your rights.

    Your privacy choices

    We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited event data with advertising-measurement providers to measure our own marketing, which California and some other states treat as a “sale” or “share.”

    To opt out of this sharing (Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information): email support@sleepworlds.app with “Do Not Sell or Share” in the subject line, or deny App Tracking when your device asks. Opting out does not affect your access to any feature.

    Deleting your account

    You can delete your account at any time:

    • In the app: open Settings (iOS: your Profile screen; Android: Settings), tap Delete Account, and confirm. This removes your account.
    • By email: email support@sleepworlds.app and ask us to delete your account, including the email address on your account so we can verify it.
    • Instructions: step-by-step instructions are at sleepworlds.com/account-deletion (no login required).

    We verify your identity, process the deletion across our systems, and confirm completion — all within 30 days.

    We delete your account, profile, usage history, analytics data, support records, and associated information across our service providers. We retain only what law requires: billing and tax records (7 years), security logs (up to 12 months), and anonymized aggregate data that can no longer identify you.

    If you have an active subscription through the App Store or Play Store, you must cancel it separately through your device’s subscription settings — those platforms handle billing directly and we cannot cancel on your behalf.


    8. Children

    Sleep Worlds is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. It is for users aged 13 and older, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly. Contact support@sleepworlds.app if you believe a child under 13 has provided us information.


    9. International transfers

    Sleep Worlds is based in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US. For users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use Standard Contractual Clauses and Data Processing Agreements with our service providers.


    10. Jurisdiction-specific notes

    While we extend the same rights to all users, certain jurisdictions require specific disclosures:

    California (CCPA/CPRA): California gives you the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information, and the rights to know, delete, and correct it. We do not sell your information for money, but we do share limited event data with advertising-measurement providers to measure our own marketing, which California may treat as “sharing” — you can opt out at any time (see Your privacy choices). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Unresolved complaints may be directed to the California Department of Consumer Affairs at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or (800) 952-5210.

    EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR): Our legal bases for processing are contract performance, legitimate interest, consent (where required), and legal obligation. Sleep Worlds, Inc. is the data controller. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.


    11. Security

    We use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.


    12. Changes

    We may update this policy. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
